We pride ourselves on our reputation as a theatre that supports itself almost entirely on ticket sales. That’s our business model: do good plays, and people will buy tickets. Plain and simple. We’re not going to give you the hard sell on fundraising for The Playhouse. In fact, we think it can be fun. Here’s how we make fundraising at The Playhouse a community wide effort. We will give you a plastic jar that you will fill with loose change and return to us whenever it is full. That’s it. Real easy. You can take one, you can take two, you can take a 100! Do you believe your business can become involved with The Playhouse through the donation of in-kind support? We have a long history of using donated good for a positive impact to our bottom line. Your products and resources are often more valuable to us than a direct cash contribution. Our primary focus at The Playhouse is to produce quality theater for the community. We strive to make our ticket prices affordable for all audiences, but we recognize that some patrons struggle with economic challenges that make theater patronage a “like to have” instead of a “must have” necessity of life. To address this situation we have created the Send a Friend Ticket Program. We have made 1,000 tickets available during our regular season that we will distribute to patrons with extra need through our partnership with select local agencies and civic organizations. If you are interested in purchasing an extra ticket or ticket package for patrons who otherwise cannot afford taking advantage of the special benefits of live theater patronage, please download our Send a Friend Ticket Program for further details on this unique community wide effort.
