SUNSET PLAYHOUSE has some spellbinding fun in store for audiences with their thrilling production of DEATHTRAP
October 14, 2009 – ELM GROVE, WI - Sunset Playhouse is delighted to present Ira Levin’s thriller DEATHTRAP for audiences from October 23-November 14, 2009 in the Furlan Auditorium, 800 Elm Grove Road (Honorary Sunset Playhouse Way), Elm Grove, WI 53122.
DEATHTRAP is a classic thriller, beloved by audiences and hugely popular in part because of the superb film version of the play starring Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve. Sidney Bruhl’s plays used to be box office gold, but his last few productions have flopped hard. When a young writer hands off a thriller to Sidney for some input, the veteran writer sees an opportunity to resurrect his floundering career. Sidney decides to concoct a plot to murder the unknown writer and pass the play off as his own. But there’s a flaw in his plan, and Sidney soon find he has unwittingly written himself into a mystery that will cause his world to spin out of control.
The stellar cast of DEATHTRAP includes Donna Daniels (Myra Bruhl), Sally Marks (Helga ten Dorp), Mark R. Neufang (Clifford Anderson), Paul Troglia (Sidney Bruhl), and Glenn Villa (Porter Milgrim).
DEATHTRAP is directed by Sunset Playhouse Artistic Director Mark Salentine. J. Michael Desper is scenic designer, and Jennifer Allen is lighting designer. The rest of the production staff for DEATHTRAP includes:

Full-priced tickets for DEATHTRAP are $18.00. Senior prices are $16.00. Students are $10.00. Group rates for 10 or more people are available. Rush tickets $10.00 one hour prior to the performance (based on availability). Tickets for the pre-show Kroupa's Fish Fry Friday dinner on November 13 are $10.00.
