Sunset Playhouse welcomes Song-stylist Joel Kopishke and hismusical friends to the SideNotes Cabaret Series for PRIME CUTS
May 10, 2010- ELM GROVE, WI - Sunset Playhouse welcomes Joel Kopishcke and a host of local singing stars to its SideNotes Cabaret Series for PRIME CUTS, a celebration of songs that never made it to tinsel town or the Great White Way but still pack a musical punch.
PRIME CUTS will be presented Thursdays through Saturdays from May 20-29 at Sunset Playhouse’s Studio Theatre, 800 Elm Grove Road (Honorary Sunset Playhouse Way), Elm Grove, WI 53122. Joel Kopischke and special guests offer a collection of songs that were cut from musicals on their way to Broadway or the silver screen. Included are numbers that still managed to become standards and nearly-lost gems from GUYS & DOLLS, WEST SIDE STORY, and THE WIZARD OF OZ.
Joel will be joined by pianist Ruben Piirainen and special guest singers will include Skylight Opera favorite Gary Briggle, Waukesha Civic Theatre’s John and Kelli Cramer, talented brothers Al, Steve and Scott Kopischke, and Joel’s crooning daughter Rose Spice-Kopischke. Each show will be a unique showcase of the best vocal talent in the area!

SideNotes is an audience favorite professional cabaret series at Sunset Playhouse that showcases the best-of-the-best local musical talent in an intimate and comfortable cabaret setting.
